Web 3.0 is the latest phase of the Internet’s evolution. An emerging phase based on creating a decentralized internet ecosystem that would leverage the power of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the latest technologies like blockchain to solve the problems of the present-day internet/online ecosystem.
To better understand web 3.0, imagine a new type of internet that would interpret your inputs accurately irrespective of the medium. For instance, you could convey through text, voice, image or any other media, and all the content you’d receive would be tailored to fit your needs. It’s just the tip of the iceberg, and we are all set to dive deep into the evolution of the internet, commonly getting popular as Web 3.0.
The third generation of the internet will process information in a smart and human-like way. This would be done using big data and bigger technologies like machine learning, decentralized technology, etc. With web 3.0 in action, users and machines would be able to interact with data.
The four key features of the next stage internet:
Ubiquity: Web 3.0 is going to be omnipresent. The present web is ubiquitous too, but in the next age internet will take it a step further. Internet will be accessible to everyone, everywhere and at all times. Internet devices will no longer be limited to smart devices or computers as IoT (the internet of things) will introduce us to new types of smart devices that will be way more advanced than we have now.
Semantic Web: Semantics is the study of the relationship between words. for instance, the market is up and market ↑. Here, the syntax is different, but the semantics are the same. In web 3.0, machines would be able to decode data and provide a better experience through enhanced data connectivity.
Artificial Intelligence: Since web 3.0 will be able to read and decipher better, and it’ll surely bring better machines. For instance, it is still possible to fake rate and review apps, tools, and products online as most of these are human-handled. Artificial intelligence in web 3.0 will advance and will ultimately be able to provide users with unbiased and the best-filtered data possible.
3D Graphics: Web 3.0 is also called the spatial web as it aims to erase the difference between physical and digital environments through revolutionizing graphics technology and bringing in 3D virtual worlds. The best example of this is the Metaverse. Metaverse is like living on the internet through 3D digital avatars and living just as real. 3D graphics will bring a new level of immersion in many industries like e-commerce, healthcare, education, tourism, real estate and more.
Web 3.0 Impact On Education
There is a sustained focus on edtech, and with web 3.0 and advanced technology, we cannot wait to see how education will be transformed. Since web 3.0 will have machine learning, data science, blockchain and other tech at its heart, we can predict the edtech sector to provide tailored, personalized learning experiences. Learners can expect their interests, preferences, and chosen specializations to be catered to the mark. The digital learning modules will ensure students receive customized learning material and appropriate data. Expect students’ personalized virtual avatars, representative of their online learning interests and preferences.
Artificial intelligence will enable students to engage in flexible and self-learning, allowing them to achieve self-sufficient evolution while tracking students’ habits and preferences to provide resources and results accordingly. For instance, ChatGPT has taken the world by storm. While the debate still continues about its place in education, here is what we think about ChatGPT and its application in education.
With IoT (Internet of Things) in action, it’d be easier and more effective to integrate multiple devices enabling easy internet connectivity and information management without geographical constraints. Since 3D graphics will be a key part of web 3.0, digital interactions among learners and their immediate environments will accelerate. Searching via 3D images/inputs and using voice/smart-class-based learning methods will be the next norm.

What is Web3, and is it the future of the Internet?
Remember chatrooms and downloading songs through search engines? The internet has come a long way since. Today we have hassle-free applications and everything available with a few taps. Today’s web is dominated by tech giants making everything possible and beyond advanced for the commoner. But at what cost? A saying goes, “If something is free, you are the product,” – so are we being consumed?
One of the key reasons platforms like Facebook and YouTube can offer their services for free is because they are creating huge databases. This video will take you through the web 3.0 possibilities, opportunities and threats. Learn what Web3 is and where it might be headed in this video.
Will Web 3.0 revolutionize the Internet?
Is Web 3.0 the next step in the internet’s evolution? The video explains how it is an information centre that is not controlled by any central authority and is accessible to anyone without permission. Watch this video to get familiar with the other side of the coin and be informed about the future.
