One of India’s fastest-growing EdTech startups in the K-12 space, STEMROBO Technologies has collaborated with My Udaan Trust to launch computer education in four schools adopted by My Udaan Trust across Maharashtra. An official statement said the initiative, established in 2022, aims to provide students from classes 1st to 8th with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the digital age.

According to the company, STEMROBO is imparting basic computer literacy to the adopted computer labs by My Udaan Trust, which is – Zilla Parishad Primary School Nashik, CSC High School Girgaon, BMC Byculla West School (Marathi and English Medium), and Aryan School in Mumbai. More than 1000 students are taught computer basics, MS Office, and coding in Marathi and English through this partnership.

The My Udaan Trust has taken the initiative, working with municipal schools and Private NGOs in Maharashtra on projects ranging from skill development to educational infrastructure improvement. The lab equipped with 20/25 computers holds classes twice a week. The programme aims to nurture creativity and innovation among students to make kids digitally empowered.

Speaking about the development, Co-founder of STEMROBO Technologies, Anurag Gupta, said:

We are delighted to work closely with passionate educators at My Udaan and to see the impact of this program in the first year itself. The enthusiasm shown by the students and teachers has been overwhelming. Computer education is the key to unlocking future opportunities, and we are committed to providing quality education to every student in India.

Gupta added:

As we firmly believe that computer education holds the key to unlocking countless future opportunities, we remain steadfastly committed to delivering exceptional quality education to every student across India.

The programme’s success is evident from the strong foundation it has laid for students to work and operate computer systems and do block-based coding. In its first year, the initiative saw the enrollment of around 700 students, and it is now in its second phase with over 1000 kids. STEMROBO has deployed a dedicated trainer to each school to train the students and teachers. The program develops students’ problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity through hands-on learning.

STEMROBO Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneer in Robotic programs, R&D, and Design Initiatives in STEM education, Setup Tinkering Lab in School. The company aims to enrich young minds, enable them to create magic with technology and apply this new-age tech knowledge to everyday life. It empowers and motivates the young wizards to enter the world of innovation and excel at it. The startup provides a platform to its students so they can explore real-life challenges and try to solve them using 21st-century skills like critical thinking, logical reasoning, programming, design thinking approach, etc.

Ananya Goenka, Founding Trustee of My Udaan Trust, who has been working in the field of charitable education for over 20 years, commented:

STEMROBO has given us quality content in Marathi and English for children, to whom language is a big barrier in going forward with computer education. They have helped us in our journey of giving underprivileged students an equal opportunity to learn to code. Celebrating the 75th year of independence is our small step towards nation-building, and we are happy to have STEMROBO as our guiding partner.

STEMROBO’s computer education initiative is aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, which emphasizes the importance of digital literacy and aims to equip every student with essential digital skills.

Started by Ananya Goenka, My Udaan Trust empowers underprivileged sections of society with quality education. It has worked on multiple projects, including skill development and educational infrastructure improvement. The trust has made small and large interventions to utilize better and upgrade the existing municipal school infrastructure. The platform has also worked to improve teaching skills by providing teachers with cutting-edge technology and always striving to provide the best-in-class infrastructure for the school.

Last year, STEMROBO Technologies expanded its horizon to provide training in the latest cutting-edge technologies by announcing the launch of a Tech Entrepreneurship Program in association with AIC IIT Delhi for 8-18 years of age group.
