More than 1500 students and engineering graduates from various top engineering institutes/universities from 18 states of India participated in India’s First Solar Car Rally, ISIE-Electric Solar Vehicle Championship – ESVC3000.

The event was organized by the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA), co-organized by Galgotias University, and Knowledge Partner, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

The event has created a significant impact in areas pertaining to electric vehicles through the rally, providing a platform for students across India to learn and improve their skills in new technologies and renewable energy, promoting e-mobility and green energy. The rally has enabled budding engineers to grapple with real-life applications and improve their skills related to design, analysis, and problem solving besides enhancing their interpersonal skills and self-confidence.

Electric Solar Vehicle Championship 3000 was planned on the theme of World Solar Challenge, Australia. It was India’s first Solar Vehicle Challenge covering 350+ KM in 3 days fromGalgotias University to Mathura to Galgotias University, Greater Noida (UP).

The event has created a significant impact among society and 2 crores + people for EV Adoption, Upskilling, Road Safety, and use of Renewable Energy.

Vinod Gupta, Founder & President – ISIEINDIA said,  “ISIEINDIA is creating an impact on an ecosystem. The outcome of the rally was very impactful i.e., 2 crores + people for EV Adoption, Upskilling, and Road Safety, and also 1500+ Engineering Graduates from 18 states of India were upskilled.”

Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, said,  “It is a pleasure to host 1500+ engineering students from top institutes/universities of India at our university. We always support and provide best platform to young innovators. These are the future engineers and entrepreneurs of India. The ESVC3000 is an innovative approach for learning and skill development.”

The opening ceremony for the event was held on 14 April in the presence of Dhruv Galgotia (CEO, Galgotias University), Vinod Gupta (President, ISIEINDIA), Prof.Prakash Joshi (Founder & Joint Managing Trustee, MIT Group of Institutions), Dr. K. C. Vora (Emeritus Professor, COEP Technical University), Praveen Kumar (Sr. HR Officer), Amit Singh (Customer Success Manager, Altair Engineering), Akshay Kumar (Head Business Development, E Fill Electric and Charging Solution) and other industry and academic delegates.

On 19th April, at 12 PM, the flag-off was given to the solar cars by Sabyasachi Das (CEO, Tata Indian Institutes of Skills), Nidhi Goyal (VP – Program, Tata Indian Institutes of Skills), and Vinod Gupta (President, ISIEINDIA). The solar cars travelled from Galgotias University to Jewar. All the vehicles were inspected at the Jewar checkpoints along with the driver safety. After the checkpoint, they travelled back to Galgotias University. They have covered a distance of 100+ KM in a single charge in the rally without a failure.

Also, the teams from Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mangalore, Hyderabad, and Punjab bag various awards and prize money. ISIEINDIA distributed a total of 12 Lakhs + cash prizes for the winners.

The event was supported by sponsors and partners including, National Skill Development Corporation, Michelin India, Altair Engineering, Raw Pressery, EaseMyTrip, E Fill Electric, JS Design, Skill Reporter, Mobility Outlook, E Vehicle Info, Edgo Carts, and Junofast.
