Edves, the largest education startup for K-12 students, teachers, administrators and parents in Africa, has recently announced its strategic partnership with 1 Million Teachers, a platform that focuses on empowering teachers via training and professional development. The collaboration aims to address the African education system’s issues, notably in teacher development.

Under this initiative, by leveraging the expertise and resources of Edves and 1 Million Teachers, 5000 teachers across the continent will be trained over two years. 1 Million Teachers, a company with extensive international experience in teacher training, will facilitate the two-year training program. At the same time, Edves will offer the essential framework and necessary infrastructure for the program’s implementation, including the technology that will increase the participants’ access to and use of the training.

The crucial need for improving technology integration in the classroom has made the partnership between Edves and 1 Million Teachers timely and impactful. The way we learn and teach is changing due to new technologies like virtual reality, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the metaverse. The program will give educators the tools and information they require to help children prepare for the future. The relationship is anticipated to benefit Africa and serve as a role model for other continents.

Edves enhances online teaching and learning with an easy-to-use, secure school management software encompassing all school needs by addressing specific challenges with capturing data, paperwork, etc. The startup aims to improve every area of school operations effectively. Its school management software solves the problem faced in schools and also makes educators technologically inclined.

The partnership between Edves and 1 Million Teachers is a significant milestone in improving Africa’s education quality. By training 5000 teachers over two years, this initiative will undoubtedly positively impact the African education sector, as it will equip teachers with the skills and knowledge they need to deliver quality education to their students. The company is looking forward to the successful implementation of this program and the positive outcomes that will result from it.
