With this partnership, the programme incorporates practical simulations, with access to ServiceNow curriculum covering subjects such as ServiceNow advanced fundamentals, IT service management, scripting and application development, which will merge textbook knowledge with practical application.

The integrated curriculum is centered around training and certification programmes on the ServiceNow platform, which will enable students to pursue learning in a holistic way, which can result in greater intellectual curiosity, enhanced problem solving, encourage critical thinking and higher understanding of digital skills while in university.

Speaking on the partnership, Pro-chancellor of Chitkara University, Dr Madhu Chitkara, said:

We are delighted to collaborate with ServiceNow. Through autonomy in curriculum integration, our students will benefit and create a new career path for themselves, become job ready and thrive in the digital economy. Chitkara University encourages the use of the power of technology and one of our charters is to prepare our students for the industry along with instilling discipline, integrity, civic engagement, and leadership skills.

Chitkara University is known for its strategic, multidisciplinary research. Within its extensive network of Centers and Institutes, researchers, staff and students work across disciplines to extend the boundaries of knowledge. The University has grown tremendously during the last few years and is fast moving towards attaining leadership position in North India, which speaks volumes about its enduring commitment, outstanding faculty and rich learning environment. Being founded by a family of academicians, the platform ethos is geared towards the development of society by providing high quality education.

Adding further about the collaboration, Vice-president & Head of ServiceNow India Development Centre, Sumeet Mathur, said:

ServiceNow is proud to partner with Chitkara University to build paths to simpler, faster, and equitable digital careers required in support of the Government’s Skill India initiative. India is one of the fastest growing markets for ServiceNow and we’re enabling thousands of Indian students, through our global skilling programme, RiseUp with ServiceNow, with the opportunity to build rewarding digital careers within our fast-growing ecosystem.

ServiceNow is a global software company that offers a diverse platform with multiple applications from IT to HR. It currently serves 80% of the Fortune 500 and has produced solid financial results despite economic challenges. It is a Software-as-a-Services (SaaS) startup that originally provided a platform for IT service management. This basically involves a “help desk” functionality in which an employee would report incidents and then changes would be executed by the IT team.

The ServiceNow platform now includes applications for Customer Service, Financial Services, Automation, and much more. These various “Workflows” are all built on top of the “Now Platform.” This platform aims to break down business silos, and enable a unified platform for operations.

In December 2022, ServiceNow invested a strategic investment of an undisclosed amount in 15Five, a San Francisco-based holistic performance management company.
