KinderPass, a digital child healthcare platform, has recently raised $500,000 in pre-seed funding from Goodwater Capital, Better Capital, Momentum Capital, Rebalance Angel Community, and Supermorpheus Angels.

The company said the fresh funds would be used to launch video-based multilingual detection modules, build a proprietary parent education platform, expand its clinician network, and partner with pre-schools and schools to reach more families.

Founded by Sumedha Khoche and Shireen Sultana, KinderPass is a digital child healthcare platform that helps parents track and boost their child’s growth and development in the critical 0-4 years. The startup assesses and treats developmental delays, learning and thinking difficulties, behavioral issues, and developmental disorders through a personalized program, virtual therapy, and parental guidance to help each child thrive and be school ready.

KinderPass’s personalized development program entails interactive one-on-one sessions that teach kids and parents the activities and techniques to use in real-life situations, and weekly practice activities, games, and worksheets that help them reach their goals faster.

Commenting on the need for a platform like KinderPass, the co-founders of KinderPass said in a joint statement,

“Developmental screening and early intervention are not the norms and most developmental delays go undetected or unaddressed during early years. If and when the issue is detected, parents face poor quality of care, fragmented therapy services at different centres, high costs, leading to poor compliance and poor outcomes. Of course, this doesn’t even account for the level of stress and logistical burden of coordinating the care, maintaining records, and tracking the child’s progress. We want to change this.”

Since its launch in early 2020, KinderPass app has crossed over 1.2 million downloads and has enabled thousands of assessments and live sessions in 10 different languages. With a network of more than 50 child specialists, including teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and behavior therapists, the startup claimed to have helped families across over 75 cities.

Made by parents and backed by science, KinderPass’s mission is to enable parents to give their kids the best start in life, and it aims to become the world’s best early child development platform.
