LearnQ.ai, a Bengaluru-based education technology platform, recently announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount in a funding from Raghunath Subramanian, the founder, and CEO of the corporate SaaS platform Actyv.ai, and will become a member of LearnQ’s board of directors.

With this fund, the startup plans to develop internationally, particularly in the US, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Founded in 2020 by Kushal Sinha and Piyush Kumar, LearnQ is an AI-driven platform for students studying for the SAT, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, and GMAT. It employs AI for gamified evaluation, which aids students in understanding the material. The platform focuses on providing everyone with individualised learning routes, making them data-driven, autonomous, systematic, and lifelong learners in the process.

Speaking about the company, Co-founder & CEO of LearnQ, Kushal Sinha, said:

"Like its adoption and impact across several industries, AI is set to revolutionize and redefine India’s education sector. At LearnQ, our flagship adaptive, gamified assessment tool not only enables students to master concepts but to understand, evaluate and work on their strengths and weaknesses in learning."

Sinha further said:

"Besides our AI-based assessment engine, we are focused heavily on building a network of quality inspiring and data-driven teachers. With a mentor like Raghu by our side, we are confident of scaling LearnQ to build a robust AI-driven education ecosystem that creates value for all our stakeholders."

LearnQ thinks that each child is unique. Their learning patterns are distinctive, just like them. And their central claim is that for a child to reach his full potential, he must first improve as a learner. Their learning requirements are easily discernible due to their AI-driven technology, and coaches focusing on these insights.

Adding further about the platform, Co-founder & COO of LearnQ, Piyush Kumar, said:

'The philosophy of LearnQ is to build an ecosystem that can quantify learning. With the use of explainable AI, we can cue the learning process in the right direction and with hiring, training and up-skilling the right teachers, we can augment the learning process. Over the next five years, the company will continue to grow its products for other standardized tests and eventually launch products for international boards. At the same time, we are working towards expanding our geographical footprint in India and internationally for maximum students to benefit from our tools and service."

The company firmly believes that technology should be used to enhance this mentor-mentee connection rather than replacing it. Early learning experiences for a youngster are crucial. It establishes his strategy for dealing with issues in the future. One of their guiding principles is to help children become autonomous, systematic, and data-driven learners with a framework and playbook for life. A new breed of analytical, data-driven, creative, critical-thinking, and failure-unafraid human capital is what they want to create.

Commenting on the latest development, Founder & CEO of Actyv.ai, Raghunath Subramanian, said:

"Traditionally, our education sector was focused around a one-size-fits-all concept. For India to progress, this mindset needs to change. With LearnQ’s vision, our nation stands to gain significantly from this AI-driven platform and it seemed like the right fit for us to partner in this endeavour."

LearnQ also launched its services for the IELTS exam in June to help a global pool of 3.5 million test takers. The firm also plans to raise $5 million in a seed funding round by the end of the year 2022.
