With this collaboration, the company will ensure that students have access to best-in-class technology and tools required to succeed in their Digital Engineering careers across sectors – including Automotive, Electric Vehicles, Medical Equipment, and Telecom. Skill-Lync students would get access to MathWorks’ tools, such as MATLAB & Simulink, to successfully complete their project work and would also be certified by MathWorks upon completion of the program.

Founded by John N. Little, Cleve Moler, Steven Bangert, MathWorks is an American privately held corporation that believes in the importance of engineers and scientists. It increases human knowledge and profoundly improves the standard of living. The platform created MATLAB and Simulink to help them do their best work.

MATLAB, the language of engineers and scientists, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a block diagram environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain and embedded engineering systems. Engineers and scientists worldwide rely on these product families to accelerate the pace of discovery, innovation, and development in automotive, aerospace, electronics, financial services, biotech-pharmaceutical, and other industries. MATLAB and Simulink are also fundamental teaching and research tools in the world’s top universities and learning institutions

Commenting on the collaboration, Chief Business Office of Skill-Lync, Krishna Bandaru, said:

“We are glad to have MathWorks on board for our flagship Electric Vehicle coursework and it strengthens the value proposition for our learners. We are committed to providing new-age careers for our learners and thereby creating a robust talent ecosystem for the Electric Vehicle industry.”

Mathworks’s purpose is to change the world by accelerating the pace of discovery, innovation, development, and learning in engineering and science. The company’s guiding principle is “do the right thing”, which means doing what is best for its staff members, customers, business partners and communities for the long term, and believing that “right” answers exist.

Speaking about the partnership, Country Manager, Sales & Services of MathWorks India, Sunil Motwani, said:

“MathWorks is delighted to partner with Skill Lync. Organizations across various industries use MathWorks tools to accelerate their pace of engineering and research. The partnership with Skill Lync on the Hybrid Electric Vehicles course offers students an engaging combination of domain knowledge, industry-standard tools, and expert trainers to help them gain skills that will prepare them for their careers. We are invested in expanding this collaboration to more courses in other industries, including med-tech, wireless, and autonomous driving.”

Skill-Lync courses are designed to train students and equip them with the necessary skill sets to be industry ready. The platform envisions creating the engineer leaders of tomorrow and emphasizing project-based learning where students are trained in the various software packages and tools that are fundamental in the industry.

The startup claims that its 20000 students from all parts of India are pursuing coursework that has been curated with global industry experts and validated by 300+ hiring partners. Students after completion of coursework pursue engineering careers in the fields of Electric Vehicles, Embedded Systems, Automotive Cybersecurity, Medical Equipment, Autonomous Vehicles & 5G Telecom.

Senior Director, Worldwide Training Services, MathWorks, Craig Santos, added:

“MathWorks is deeply committed to growing engineering students’ skills to help them realize their true potential. Our strategic collaboration complements Skill Lync’s application and industry-based offerings with in-depth MathWorks tools training. Together, we hope to engage thousands of students and make them industry-ready.”

Earlier this year, Skill-Lync had announced its collaboration with Altair, a global technology company that provides software solutions in simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI).
