Through this program, teachers will be able to provide an enriching learning experience to more than one lakh students while ensuring their holistic development.

Three days of intensive training has been scheduled for the master trainers and the program has been set for the launch of the next and most critical phase where the teachers of Jorhat government schools will undergo training on school excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Kabita Kakati Konwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, DMC & SSA Jorhat (Assam), said,

“It is heartening to build a systemized education process where every stakeholder is empowered to deliver their best and enrich the schooling experience of every child. Bharti Foundation has been involved in exceptional work in the district with 15 government schools through its Satya Bharti Quality Support Program. This expansion to more than 1300 government schools in the district will surely build a wave of quality education.”

Bharti Foundation launched its School Excellence Program in 2021 under Satya Bharti Quality Support Program – At Scale Initiative to expand the radius of impact. The program’s goal is to train the master trainers, who will empower heads of the schools to enhance the overall schooling experience for the children. It follows a three-pronged approach by engaging the schools in the development plan, improving student performance in co-scholastic interventions & life skill-building programs, and increasing engagement with parents for school development.

Speaking about the program, Antony Nellissery, Chief School Excellence, Bharti Foundation, said,

“It is our commitment to improve accessibility to quality education for marginalized communities. School Excellence Program is an effective way to ensure this in the partnering government schools. Under the program, we work with the district resource team and help them in supporting schools under them to identify key indicators for an overall school improvement. Our aim is to maximize the benefits of the School Excellence Program and reach out to all government schools in the district.”

Parineeta Chakraborty, Assistant Commissioner, Jorhat (Assam), added,

“We are happy to partner with Bharti Foundation and build synergies in the area of quality education. I firmly believe that the trainings imparted by the Foundation will serve as an instrument to mould the teachers in ways that enable them to contribute to the greater good of the institutions that they are working in. Through this partnership, we hope to help make students ready for the changing dynamics of the future.”

Bharti Foundation has implemented Satya Bharti Quality Support Program in over 691 government schools directly impacting over 246,257 students and more than 9,000 teachers across 11 states of India.
