The round also saw participation from other investors, including high net worth individuals and Vijay Datt, founder, promoter, and CEO of Citadel Management Consulting.

The Gurugram-based startup will utilise the funds to achieve its vision of providing college students across India with the best start to their careers. It also plans to enhance the existing products and launch new services for the skilling and placement of budding professionals.

Founded in 2011 by Sarvesh Agrawal, Internshala is an internship and training platform helping college students to skill themselves. The platform provides students with access to online training and their first real-world experience through internships and fresher jobs.

Commenting on the investment, Founder & CEO of Internshala, Sarvesh Agrawal, said:

“Our goal is to become the career super app for college students. Internshala’s internship and training platforms serve the unaddressed market of 45 million college students. The massive gap in the demand and supply of high quality young talent is a problem that large companies and booming start-ups experience alike. We aim to bridge this gap and become a trusted partner that enables companies to build their dream teams. The latest investment will enable us to achieve the same at a much faster pace.”

With Internshala, the internship seekers and job-seeking freshers from all over India, across different education streams, can search and apply to various internships and fresher jobs of their choice. Additionally, organisations of all sizes including startups, corporates, SMEs, NGOs, education institutes, and big brands, can post their intern and fresher job requirements to hire university students and fresh graduates all over India. On Internshala Training, the e-learning arm of Internshala, the students learn the latest in-demand skills to build their resume, skill themselves, and become industry-ready.

Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of LC Nueva AIF, Sohil Chand, added:

“Internshala has built trust among the massive network of college students and companies. It has emerged as the most credible brand in the college students’ space. On the one hand, it empowers millions of college students to explore different career options, learn new skills, and connect with the best opportunities. On the other hand, it helps start-ups build their first teams, and companies hire the best college talent. We are excited to partner with Internshala in its journey.”

The startup claims to have provided online training to more than 2 crore college students and assists 3 lakhs companies to hire interns and freshers.
