AIGooru, however, did not disclose the financial details of the deal.

The new acquisition will allow AIGooru to expand its operations across the Arab region. And as part of the deal, ChillLearn’s team members, its network of tutors, and the founder will join the AIGooru team, according to a press statement.

ChillLearn is an online tutoring platform founded by Muhanad AlJaser in 2020. The platform has served over 5,000 students since its inception. ChillLearn landed a win at the TechChampions Accelerator by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). The EdTech platform also scored another hit at the hackathon by Techstars and the Ministry of Education.

Commenting on how the new acquisition will help the company, Khalid Abou Kassem, Founder of AIGooru, said,

“We plan to capitalize on ChillLearn’s market insights, access to supply, and know-hows to better cater to the needs of the 10M student market in Saudi. This will anchor our foreseeable expansion in the region, which will align with our mission to build GCC’s one-stop private tutoring shop.”

Speaking about ChillLearn’s approval to be acquired by AIGooru, Muhanad AlJaser, Founder of ChillLearn, said AlGooru and ChillLearn have a common mission. He said their combined enthusiasm and synergy can yield previously inconceivable solutions to the online student-tutor platforms.

Founded by Khalid Abou Kassem in 2019, AlGooru connects students with on-demand private tutors, allowing them to book online or in-person sessions through its platform. The startup’s mission is to easily match-make students and tutors, creating a community of dedicated professionals and enthusiastic learners to benefit from shared experiences.

AlGooru has had its fair share of success stories, with the most recent being its acceptance into the seed accelerator, Techstars Riyadh, and closing the pre-seed investment round with $600,000. AlGooru continues to spearhead the field of EdTech to provide the absolute best for its users in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. AlGooru has more than 450 vetted private tutors on its platform, covering more than 210 academic and non-academic teaching subjects.
