The acquisition brings two platforms with distinct and highly complementary offerings and provides improved new-age learning solutions and offerings to new-age learners in India while accelerating the ambitious expansion plan of Infinity Learn.

Founded in 2014 by Ganesh Pai, Don’t Memorise is a trusted online education company for students, teachers and parents around the world. The platform focuses on the K-10 segment, specifically for grades 6 to 10, developing high-quality English, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali content for Maths and Science mainly. Headquartered in Mumbai, it is one of the fastest-growing platforms in the country, with a large subscriber base of 2.6 million and over 250 million views on YouTube with an attractive overall 96%+ positive response.

Speaking about the company, Founder of Don’t Memorise, Ganesh Pai, said,

“Over the past few years, we have been on a journey to democratize education by making high-quality content in math and science affordable to school kids. So far, we’ve garnered much viewership on YouTube and with the latest integration with Infinity Learn, we are looking at a much bigger impact in the K-10 segment. Our vision to develop high-quality education in English, as well as regional languages, aligns well with Infinity Learn, and we are excited for great things to come.”

Don’t Memorise has partnered with a number of prominent educational organisations. The Adani Foundation uses edu.dontmemorise.com, a platform exclusively for educational institutions, in several of their schools. It also acts as a content partner for Hindustan Times Learning Centres and ConveGenius within their EdTech ecosystems.

Infinity Learn is the fastest-growing EdTech in India. The platform offers students free mock tests so that they can assess themselves and then work further to enhance their knowledge. The startup is led by people with the purpose to become global leaders in the digital learning arena and has achieved one million-plus registered users and 100K+ paid users on the platform in a span of 8 months since its commercial launch.

Commenting on the acquisition, President and CEO of Infinity Learn, Ujjwal Singh, said,

“Don’t Memorise is one of the fastest-growing YouTube channels in the country. It brings to life through its captivating educational content. We saw that the content is tailored to meet the needs of Indian students predominantly spread across Tier 2 and 3 Indian cities. The acquisition of Don’t Memorise establishes content production expertise and complements Infinity Learn’s existing robust in-house content expertise. The acquisition will also provide additional opportunities for enhanced partnerships with the existing partners.”

The company claims to have solved over 100K+ doubts so far through the Doubts 24X7 App (with under 5 mins turnaround time). It also has over 10 million + questions attempted by learners of the platform so far and robust more than 500K questions in the platform’s question bank with over 300K+ solutions (including vernacular content being created in-house), making it one of the few companies in India today claiming the content leadership. ‘The New age Tech for the new age learner’ aspires to be amongst the top 5 EdTech brands in India in the coming years.

Founder and Director of Infinity and Academic Director – Sri Chaitanya Educational Institution, Sushma Boppana, added:

“While the organic growth continues to be strong for Infinity Learn, inorganic routes including acquisitions is another pillar for growth and expansion. This will help Infinity Learn to increase its lead over its competitors in online space and traditional education institutes to tap the country’s USD 225 billion market size (potential by 2025) education sector that has gone online to adapt to the new reality. The approach for acquisitions is not about having a specific budget or number of targets but assessing complementarity and strengthening our position in the education technology (Edtech) sector.”

Last year in October, Infinity Learn had acquired Teacherr, a Hyderabad-based teacher-focused community platform for an undisclosed amount.
