With an aim to simplify and provide quality education accessible for all at affordable prices, EdTech startup Doubtnut provided solutions to 240 crore questions to crores of students on its platforms in 2022.

The videos are offered across 9 languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, and more giving students the ability to understand queries in their own languages. The platform offers instant video solutions powered by Made In India AI Bot to over 25 lakh students on a daily basis and to 5 crore students monthly.

Founded by Tanushree Nagori and Aditya Shankar in 2017, Doubtnut uses AI technologies for image recognition, natural language processing, and proprietary machine learning algorithms to provide solutions to students’ queries. Doubtnut currently offers over 100 courses including courses for CBSE Boards (UP, Bihar) and 14 other state boards; IIT/NEET/NDA preparation, govt. exams such as CTET, SSC, Banking and also special courses like spoken English.

Aditya Shankar, the Co-founder of Doubtnut, said,

"We are witnessing an increase in demand for personalisation from tier II & III cities across the country. Our innovative AI-driven model not only provides real-time solutions to the students but also empowers students from villages and small towns to affordable education. The collaboration with NKC sir will further strengthen Doubtnut’s leadership position in the JEE Advance, JEE Main & NEET examination preparation market."

Doubtnut has recently onboarded Neeraj Kumar Chaudhary, popularly known as NKC sir, to guide and prepare students for competitive exams of JEE Advance, JEE Main & NEET. Neeraj is an ex-IIT Delhi and comes with 15 years of extensive experience working with leading EdTech players and has taught students at prominent coaching institutes in Kota. He will be the Chief Academic Officer at Doubtnut.

"As an educator, my aim is to support aspiring students realize their potential. By becoming a part of Doubtnut, I am not only joining their larger movement of providing ‘education to all’ but also helping thousands of students to achieve their dreams," said Neeraj Kumar Chaudhary.

Doubtnut has supported over 50,000 underprivileged students with scholarships in 2021-22 and also offers up to 100% scholarships for its paid courses. The company has raised a total of USD 50 million till now from investors such as Sequoia Capital India, Omidyar Network India, Waterbridge Ventures, SIG, and Lupa Systems. The Gurugram-based EdTech platform last raised INR 224 Crores (~USD 31 million) in a Series B funding round led by SIG and Lupa Systems, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital India, Omidyar Network India, and Waterbridge Ventures.
