Bengaluru-based Edtech Startup Oda Class Secures Pre-series A Funding from China’s Yuanfudao

Oda Class, a Bengaluru-based edtech startup that offers LIVE online classes and systematic courses, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its pre-Series A round led by China’s edtech giant Yuanfudao.

The company plans to use the funds to upgrade its technology capabilities and expand its product portfolio. It also plans to use to improve its operations, and enhance its teacher recruitment system.

Founded by Shushant Srivastava, Oda Class provides interactive LIVE online classes to students of classes 6-10. It follows a Dual Teacher System – a model that a master teacher interacts live with the students to teach and mentor them complemented by an academic mentor providing 24/7 doubt solving and mentoring support. The platform uses most advanced technology to provide great learning experience to students. Oda Class claims its learning app has become the choice of more than 1,000,000 parents and students in India.

Explaining its belief and commenting on the funding, Shushant Srivastava, Co-founder and CEO of Oda Class, said in a statement,

Oda Class provides systematic courses, like vacation classes for pre-learning and solid students’ foundation; coherent classes with unlimited LIVE doubt solving and classes coherent with board syllabus; and test preparation with crash courses in sync with exam patterns. Its curriculum are designed and taught by professional teachers who are all alumni of IIT, NIT, and other premier institutes.

Oda Class claims to have registered over one million users in just 50 days since its inception and is planning to add 10 million users by end of 2020.
