Other investors who participated in the round include FirstCheque, Rajesh Razdan (Founder and chief evangelist at Origami Next), Samar Singla (Founder and CEO of Jugnoo ClickLabs), healthtech startup Curofy founders, and Amit Kapoor (Founder at Institute for Competiveness) among others.

Founded in 2018 by Navratn Singh, along with Kamal Pandey, Konfinity offers cutting-edge online coding courses that train students and professionals to be software engineers, and helps them get placed in next-generation tech companies, all at no up-front cost. The company currently offers courses in web development, data science, and UI/UX. It currently has partnered with over 12 colleges and catering to over 2,000 students.

Konfinity plans to use the fresh funds to expand its services to over 100 colleges across 12 cities in the next six months.

In a press statement, Navratn Singh, Co-founder and CEO of Konfinity, said, “Over 150 million jobs created last year that needed candidates to have coding skills… the IT industry witnessed a slump in terms of hiring the right talent.” He said that engineering students across the country are still struggling to find the right career. “The recent funding validates our concept to help bolster partnerships with key universities in the coming months,” he added.

Konfinity aims to empower every ambitious tech aspirant with cutting-edge technology skills, to build a high-paying and future proof career in software development. It offers intensive online coding courses, curated by its team from IIT Delhi, one-on-one mentorship, and an active community and teamwork.

For enrolment, students can just apply online through website or email, give aptitude test and enrol for the course. After enrolling, they attend classes online, get one-on-one mentorship, and work on individual and group projects, and build real-world team project on diverse technologies and for different markets. Konfinity also offers help with interview training, resume writing, and assistance with finding a job. For the fees, students pay only if and when they earn Rs 6 lakhs per annum or above.

Konfinity claims 100% of its students are hired at Rs 6-40 lakh per annum salary. Its hiring partners include Google, Amazon, Paytm, Microsoft, Facebook, Oracle, Adobe, Cisco, Uber, LinkedIn, and Dell Technologies to name a few.

Drawing unemployment crisis among engineering graduates, Utsav Somani, Partner at AngelList also said, “More than 60% of Indian engineers are unemployed at this moment and most schools and colleges lack coding frameworks as required by new-age tech companies. Konfinity is bridging the gap existing in the industry and is poised to scale the business, sustainably.”
