The round was led by Pearson Ventures and participated by Avestria Ventures, Sofia Fund, ReThink Education and SideCar Angels. With this investment, Vicky Guo, Investment Director at Pearson Ventures, has joined K2P’s board of directors.

Started in 2014, Knowledge to Practice is a leader in adult learning and education-technology design. It catalyzes and accelerates progress in postgraduate medical education. The company uses advanced adult learning techniques using digital technology to help clinical leaders design and deliver a personalized curriculum that measurably improves clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient care.

Knowledge to Practice aims to heighten clinical excellence by transforming how expertise is shared and learned among clinicians around the world. It puts instructional techniques from adult learning experts in the hands of the best clinical educators to transform the way they teach and elevate physicians’ lifelong learning experience. K2P’s personalized education enables clinicians to be always at the top of their game, so they can confidently make the best possible care decisions for their patients.

Issuing a statement on the latest funding, Mary Ellen Beliveau, Founder and CEO, Knowledge to Practice, said,

“We are excited to leverage Pearson’s experience in healthcare workforce education and leadership in applying technologies like artificial intelligence and natural language processing. K2P is transforming patient care through our personalized, micro-learning platform for physicians.”

K2P is working to change the way education is delivered to interdisciplinary care team providers across the care spectrum. It plans to use the new funding to expand its platform to more physician users in hospitals and health systems nationwide.

Commenting on the latest investment, Pedro Vasconcellos, Head of investments at Pearson, said,

“K2P is bringing digital transformation to the medical education market. We are excited to support them in expanding their enterprise offering to help hospitals and health systems improve their quality of care through educational interventions.”

Knowing that medicine is constantly changing, Knowledge to Practice believes physician education should change with it. With that goal, the company develops relevant, personalized, and meaningful education that easily fits into the time-starved physician’s life. K2P claims more than 11,000 physicians use its platform to maximize knowledge and earn CME and MOC points online.
