Led by Japanese tech entrepreneur and billionaire investor and chairman of mobile gaming company GungHo, Taizo Son, the funding round was participated by existing angel investors and Martin Henk and Ragnar Sass, the co-founders of a renowned Estonian startup, Pipedrive.

Founded in 2016 in Tallinn by Kadri Tuisk, Clanbeat is a personalized growth support platform for schools that help people discover their true passions, achieve their goals and shape their own future. It is a tool to humanize learning environments so that self-driven people would bring more positive change to their own lives and the world.

Clanbeat provides tools for people onboarding, personal growth planning and execution through mentor relationships, one-on-one meetings and community support. It helps schools to automate onboarding processes for integrating newcomers into the community, and helps create unique growth journeys for each individual. Clanbeat makes taking on one-on-one as easy and effortless as possible. The company helps set goals individually or through coaching sessions. It builds a culture where people are inspired by colleagues and facilitates mentor relationships between people who match the best.

Commenting on the investment, Taizo Son, Chairman of Japanese mobile gaming company GungHo, said in a statement,

“I believe that the future of education is self-directed lifelong learning. It means that we all should keep learning what we love until we die, because I strongly believe that the success in life is not wealth and fame but one’s personal growth. The gardener does not make a plant grow. The job of a gardener is to create optimal conditions. As Sir Ken Robinson said, good tools that assist one’s personal growth are very important. In that sense, I empathize with Clanbeat’s vision and solutions very much.”

Clanbeat believes that a sense of belonging improves motivation and leads to growth. Besides other offerings, the company is also developing a software that supports students and adults in mastering driving their own learning and being a well-balanced human being along that journey.

Clanbeat currently has its customers in Estonia, Finland and Singapore. The startup said that the new funding will be used to strengthen its platform, its product offering and expand to new markets in Europe and Asia.
