OmniUpdate, a leading web content management system (CMS) provider for higher education, and Destiny Solutions, a leading student lifecycle management solution provider for non-traditional higher education, have merged to operate as one company, it has announced in a press release.

The respective industry-leading companies have joined to provide the most innovative and comprehensive suite of digital marketing solutions to the higher education market, offering higher education’s first cloud-based and end-to-end student digital engagement platform.

Camarillo-based OmniUpdate is the definitive partner of choice among web content management system (CMS) providers in higher education. Its OU Campus CMS is incredibly fast and easiest to use with features and modules designed to meet higher education’s unique needs.

Destiny Solutions, on the other hand, is Toronto-based and committed to providing non-traditional learners with an outstanding customer experience. The company’s SaaS platform, Destiny One, is a student lifecycle management software platform which manages the entire student lifecycle and engages learners like customers at every step. It allows colleges and universities to deliver education across the modern lifelong learning lifecycle, supports revenue and enrolment growth through an eCommerce-enhanced customer experience.

Services to be offered by the merged entity include website content management, online course and faculty profile management, email and social media marketing, blog and calendar management, web accessibility compliance, student lifecycle management, curriculum management, payment processing, non-credit and credit-bearing certification granting, real-time reporting, and business intelligence – all backed by superior customer service.

The merged entity brings together over 450 college and university customers and more than 100,000 higher education professionals using OmniUpdate and Destiny Solutions products daily, plus an extensive network of partner relationships. The merger also allows institutions access to products designed to grow enrolments of both non-traditional and traditional learners.

Commenting on the merger with Destiny Solutions, OmniUpdate CEO and Co-founder Lance Merker said in a statement,

Destiny has an extensive suite of student lifecycle products that enable higher education institutions to engage their learners as customers and to operate like world-class businesses. Destiny is renowned for its product quality, professional services, and customer support, facilitating quick results for its partner institutions and making the company a natural cultural fit with OmniUpdate.”

Delighted with the merger, Peter DeVries, President of Destiny Solutions, also said in a statement,

OmniUpdate has built higher education’s leading web content management solution and has an unparalleled reputation for innovation and customer support. As a combined entity, we have an exciting opportunity to accelerate growth and help our customer drive strategic outcomes for their institutions.”

Meanwhile, the press release said that the merged entity will operate from its current offices in the US and Canada, with headquarters in Camarillo, California. It further mentioned that Lance Merker, previously CEO and Co-founder of OmniUpdate, will assume the role of CEO and Peter DeVries from Destiny will serve as President and COO of the merged entity. The combined company brings together more than 150 employees with deep experience focusing solely on higher education clients.
