Founded in 2016 by Shrouk Alaa Eldin and Mohamed Akmal, Career180 is a comprehensive and interactive career knowledge network offering all career related services centralized in just one place. It offers as a one-stop shop for university students and fresh graduates to kick off their careers. The startup creatively connects youth at the onset of their career to experts, mentorship, opportunities and events across the MENA region.

Career180 offers a range of online and offline products and services through its web-based platform and series of events. Its online platform services include one-to-one online mentorship, career advising videos and Q&A’s section. Users can book a session with an expert for one-to-one mentorship, watch career advising videos or ask any questions on any topics related to their career development.

The company’s offline platform services include career advising sessions and meetups, talent programs – a one month theoretical and practical program, and career advising summit.

Commenting on the investment it received and its future plans with the fund, the co-founders of the company, Shrouk Alaa Eldin and Mohamed Akmal, reportedly said,

“We have already worked with EdVentures and are very excited about them investing in us. The investment will support our expansion plans and enable us to help more university students and graduates with their careers.”

Laying emphasis on empowering the youth, Dalia Ibrahim, founder of EdVentures and CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House, also commented saying,

“We constantly aim to empower youth and that’s why we are keen to keep collaborating with Career180 by investing in them. The investment will help them expand their valuable services to equip the youth with the necessary skills and capabilities to meet the market needs.”

Meanwhile, Career180 plans to use the fund to further develop its online platform and expand its career advising workshops and events across Egypt. The company claims to have over 130k community members, 25+ events and programs, 60+ sponsors and partners, and conducted over 300 workshops across the country.

Hope the new investment will enable the company to grow further and achieve its mission in helping the youth discover their fantasy occupations and meet the job market necessities.
