Charbonneau’s inspirational story illustrates the power a single educator can have on a community. Charbonneau is widely known for his STEM curriculum and assisting high school students in the attainment of college credit prior to graduation. We talk with Charbonneau about leading story lines in education and what it was like to visit the White House and meet President Obama.

Charbonneau started teaching in 2001 at Zillah High School, the same school he graduated from just years earlier. Charbonneau teaches chemistry, physics, engineering and architecture. He also runs a statewide robotics competition and serves as yearbook adviser for the 400-student school.
