Once the audio for your article is loaded, it begins to play. Using the ‘Transport’ or navigation bar, you can navigate through your Wikipedia article. On its leftmost is the button to view Article History, followed by Previous section, Play/Pause, Next section and Next article. Just above the search bar is the Overview button, clicking on which opens up the table of content that presents an overview of the article. You can access the Menu by swiping from the left of the screen towards the right. From the menu you can go to your Play Queue which is a custom queue of articles created by you for future listening. You can drag and drop topics to reorder your play queue. You can also access your offline list of articles, which contains articles that you can listen to without connecting to the Internet; this feature is only available with the pro version. You can share your article with others via social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and more. Our Review: Wikipedia Lecturer is a great audio-based learning app. It offers a clean and unobtrusive user interface that makes it very easy to use. It makes learning through Wikipedia simpler, by reading aloud the entire Wikipedia article in the language of your choice. The text to speech learning offered by the app can help students develop vital skills such as listening, writing, reading and speaking. It is also good for language learners and for special education students.

The app reads out the Wikipedia article in any language that your device supports, but if your desired language is not supported by your device or you want the article to be read out in a better voice, then you can download a third party text-to-speech engine such as IVONA or SVOX, which are readily available in the Google Play store. It also helps you further your learning by allowing you to play articles related to your topic and keep a record of articles to listen to in future with custom play queues. You can simply long click on the links to add them to your queue list to access whenever you want. The images contained in the article can be zoomed in and viewed in full size. The offline mode offered by the pro version of the app is of great use when you don’t have access to the Internet and the ability to skip article sections and links helps you save time and learn precisely only what you need the most.

The app is of great use for students, as it helps them learn in a more convenient way from Wikipedia, which is a great and reliable source of learning; and for teachers who can share the articles that they want their students to learn and also use them for their own learning. It gives you access to a sum of knowledge and helps you learn at your ease. I recommend you to try this amazing app out.
